Big season ahead for Grand Lido
WITH THE
official start of the winter season set for December 15, the Grand
Lido Braco Resort and Spa Hotel, in Trelawny, one of the north
coast's premium all-inclusive resorts, is already registering an
increase in bookings for the season.
"It's looking very good for
Grand Lido Braco," said Ron Droegmyer, general manager of the
hotel. He was speaking at the hotel's seventh anniversary
celebrations last Wednesday. "We are ahead of last year at
this time. As long as the United States economy stays where it is,
I think we will have a great year. We are way ahead of last year
and last year was a good year."
Also in high spirits for the winter
season, was Carol Walters-Davis, assistant manager of the hotel,
who credited a part of the success in projections to the increase
in return guests.
"Already the winter season
is looking well," she said. "Right now, 30 per cent of
our occupants are repeat guests. We have 226 rooms and we have a
little bit over a 100 occupied by repeat guests."
Having changed owners in 1997 to
become a part of the SuperClubs hotel chain, Grand Lido Braco
celebrated its seventh anniversary under the theme 'Out of Many
One People: Come Celebrate Our Heritage' in its famed Village
Square last Wednesday.
